Helping Your Child Learn

At Sirius College our school fees include subscriptions to Mathletics, Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress. Your child has been registered to these online programs which are designed to motivate and excite them about learning.

During the term break please ensure your child has regular access to each of these programs to support and revise their class learnings. All students have been given login details for both programs which also gives you access sign up and create a login to view your child’s progress. Please feel free to contact the

ABC READING EGGS

ABC Reading Eggs was created by a highly experienced team of Australian primary school teachers, writers and developers to help children become fluent and proficient readers. The various levels of Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress makes reading real books, improving spelling skills and building reading comprehension highly engaging for kids aged 6 to 13.

To access this program at home, simply follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to www.readingeggs.com.au
  2. Enter your child’s login details in the Member’s Login section.

If your child does not know their personal login or password please contact their classroom teacher.

If your child logs in after school hours at home, you will need to select one of these three options:

  1. Sign up or a new parent account on ABC Reading Eggs – this allows you to monitor your child’s progress and achievements.
  2. Link my child to my existing ABC Reading Eggs account – This means that your child’s school account will be attached to your parent dashboard.
  3. Skip this step – Simply click on this option if you want your child to commence the school subscription at home.

MATHLETICS

Your child is using Mathletics as part of their mathematics program at school. Mathletics is a targeted, rewarding and captivating online learning resource, which is aligned to curriculum standards. Your child has take-home access to Mathletics - they simply sign in with their Mathletics username and password using any compatible computer or mobile device. The extra Mathletics practice at home can make all the difference to your child’s progress. Encourage them to achieve a weekly target of 1000 points to earn a certificate, building through bronze, silver and gold across the school year.

Go for gold!

Sign up to your parent account for FREE progress updates about your child in 3 easy steps:

  1. Visit www.mathletics.com/parent
  2. Complete the form and click “Submit”
  3. Look out for a weekly progress email in your inbox each Monday

If you have an issues regarding these online resources, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher.
